My approach is intentionally personal and highly collaborative. Every assignment begins with a conversation. I want to understand your story, your vision, and what makes your subject meaningful. Together, we'll create imagery designed not simply to be viewed, but to be lived with for years to come.
Every commission receives my complete creative attention—from planning and photography through editing, artwork consultation, and final delivery.
I accept a limited number of commissioned assignments each year to ensure every project receives the time, attention, and craftsmanship it deserves.

Working with private owners, breeders, trainers, competitors, and equestrian organizations, each commission is approached with patience, respect, and an appreciation for the unique relationship between horse and rider.

The Commission Experience
Every commission is unique, but the creative process follows a consistent philosophy.
It begins with a conversation about your project, your goals, and the story you hope to tell. Together, we'll determine the appropriate location, timing, and creative approach before photography begins.
Portrait sessions are intentionally unhurried, allowing time for genuine moments to develop naturally. Following the commission, I carefully edit and curate the strongest imagery before presenting a refined collection of finished photographs for review.
The final step is selecting artwork designed specifically for your home, office, publication, or project. From museum-quality prints to custom framing, every decision supports the creation of work that will remain meaningful for years to come.
Investment
Portrait Commissions begin at $4,500 plus travel expenses.
The Creative Fee includes:
Initial consultation
Creative planning and pre-production
Full-day commissioned photography
Professional image editing and preparation
Private artwork presentation
Artwork consultation and ordering assistance
Travel, lodging (when required), and finished artwork are quoted separately.
Depending on the scope of the assignment, additional production support—including a photographic assistant, lighting technician, stylist, or other specialists—may be recommended. When appropriate, these services are discussed in advance and included as part of the project estimate.
Every commission is photographed and creatively directed by me.
Building the Practice
I'm currently expanding this area of my photography practice and am accepting a limited number of inaugural portrait commissions.
My objective is not simply to build a portfolio, but to establish a body of work that reflects the artistic standards of the practice for years to come. During this inaugural period, I'm particularly interested in collaborating with owners, breeders, trainers, and organizations who value exceptional craftsmanship and wish to create something truly lasting.
